A BRIEF NOTE ON QUANTITATIVE IMPACT OF IFSD PROGRAMME * Introduction of high yielding varieties in field crops has enhanced yield upto 12%. * Perennial crops (fruits) will have a major role to sustain the farm amilies, in this regard, quality horticulture planting materials were supplied. An average of Rs. 5,000/- additional revenue/family/year can be obtained from 3rd year onwards i. e. 2014-15. * Introduction of poultry birds (Giriraja) generates Rs. 10,220/- additional revenue/family for two years apart from family usage. * Imparted knowledge on soil testing and farmers are advised to use site specific nutrient application, hence there is reduction in indiscriminate use of inorganic fertilizers, therefore reduced cost on fertilizers by 20%. Overall growth rate and income levels of stakeholders enhanced upto 13%. 7. CONSTRAINTS FACED IN IMPLEMENTING IFSD PROGRAMME DURING THE LAST TWO YEARS AND SUGGESTIONS TO POPULARIZE IFS IN GENERAL AND SPECIFIC * Difficult to maintain unique identity system of stakeholders. Therefore No. of stake holders may be reduced. * Capacity building of project staff on group dynamics and enhancing the IFSD participants responsibilities in utilizing the IFSD inputs ACTION PLAN FOR THE YEAR 2013-14
